aBOUT dR. jOHN kIPPEN
Dr. John Kippen completed his medical degree in 1989, after which he commenced specialised training in General Surgery and Plastic Surgery. He gained valuable experience working alongside a general practice that included an emergency department focused on aviation and rescue medicine, as well as additional time in Critical and Intensive Care settings.
Building on this extensive training he completed advanced surgical training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He achieved fellowship status with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS[Plastics]) and further honed his skills through additional fellowship training in Reconstructive Surgery, Microsurgery, and Hand Surgery.
Dr. Kippen also underwent specialised training at a renowned plastic surgery unit in London, where he gained expertise in general plastic surgery, with a strong focus on facial plastic and breast surgery. His experience includes reconstructive procedures and reanimation surgery for the face, as well as comprehensive training in all aspects of breast surgery and techniques of breast reconstruction.
Currently, Dr. Kippen holds appointment and admitting rights at Sydney Adventist Hospital and Macquarie University Hospital. He performs day surgery at Pittwater Day Surgery in Mona Vale. He still serves on various Medical and Hospital Committees. Committed to the advancement of the field, Dr. Kippen actively teaches and mentors junior plastic surgeons and other medical and allied health professionals. His practice in Mona Vale is equipped with dedicated operative facilities, allowing for a range of procedures to be performed under local anaesthesia. Recently, he has shifted his focus to breast, abdominal and facial surgery where medically indicated.
Panacea was founded by Dr. Kippen to provide patients with effective solutions for skin concerns, offering non-surgical alternatives using medical grade products, medical grade equipment to ensure optimised results with a doctor on site.

With over 25 years of experience in beauty therapy, dermal science, and aesthetic nursing, Kristy is a highly skilled and trusted cosmetic nurse renowned for her meticulous techniques and artistic vision.
For the past decade, she has specialised in cosmetic injecting, particularly in full-face rejuvenation and advanced contouring. Kristy began her career as a beauty therapist in Sydney in 1999, later transitioning to clinical aesthetics under a cosmetic surgeon’s mentorship, where she refined her expertise in lasers.
In 2008, she relocated to Los Angeles and completed her registered nursing training with honours, incorporating cosmetic injectables into her practice. In 2017, Kristy earned the esteemed Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist (CANS) credential in the U.S., a nationally recognised certification that necessitates extensive clinical experience and rigorous examination.
Throughout her 15 years in the United States, she trained alongside world-renowned plastic surgeons and dermatologists, gaining invaluable insights into facial anatomy and the latest evidence-based techniques. Her approach is grounded in honesty, precision, and a deep respect for natural beauty.
Now based in her hometown, Kristy brings a wealth of international experience and a personalised, results-driven philosophy to every treatment.
She remains committed to excellence through ongoing education, advanced training and active participation in global aesthetic conferences. Kristy combines clinical expertise with a refined artistic approach, helping clients enhance their unique features with confidence and care.

Ashlee is a highly experienced Registered Nurse and Senior Cosmetic Injector with over 10 years of clinical expertise. Since beginning her nursing career, she has worked across a broad range of specialities including aged care and surgical orthopaedics, and she continues to specialise in Intensive Care and coronary care.
With a strong clinical foundation, Ashlee brings a thoughtful, safety-focused, and ethical approach to aesthetic medicine. Her experience in leading cosmetic clinics across Sydney has shaped her commitment to achieving natural, balanced results through personalised, evidence-based care.
Ashlee’s passion for skin health was sparked by her own journey with skin issues, cultivating a deep interest in non-surgical treatments and long-term skin solutions. She has completed extensive training in both Dermal therapy and Cosmetic injectables and remains dedicated to continual education and staying current with the latest advancements in products, treatments and medical research.

With a wealth of experience in healthcare management, Tracey has been with Dr. Kippen since 2021, overseeing day-to-day operations to ensure a smooth and efficient clinic experience. She holds a Diploma in Practice Management from AMA and an Advanced Diploma in Skin Therapy, equipping her with both managerial skills and industry-specific knowledge.
Tracey’s proactive approach to quality assurance ensures that our team adheres to the latest best practices. She emphasizes continuous professional development, keeping staff updated on advancements in the industry.
