Redness and Rosacea
Redness & Rosacea
Redness, rosacea, and visible capillaries are common concerns that can affect both men and women at any stage of life. They often present as persistent flushing, thread-like blood vessels (telangiectasia), or inflamed patches that can feel sensitive and reactive. Visible redness can also occur when the skin moisture barrier is compromised. As a result, skin becomes dry, inflamed, or sensitive. Many factors contribute to visible redness in the skin, such as sun exposure, genetics and pollution. While not harmful to physical health, these conditions can significantly impact confidence and quality of life
At Panacea Skin Clinics, we understand that sensitive and redness-prone skin requires a gentle but evidence-based approach. Our medically led team, under the guidance of Dr John Kippen, combines precision, compassion, and evidence-based treatments to calm inflammation, strengthen skin and restore balance.

Rosacea
Rosacea is a common, chronic inflammatory skin condition that primarily affects the central face. This condition is often confused with acne but require specific, gentle management to control both physical and psychological systems.
The condition is characterised by recurrent flushing, persistent facial redness (erythema) and visible blood vessels (telangiectasia). Symptoms appear on the convexities of the face, the nose, cheeks, chin and forehead. While not curable, appropriate therapy can significantly control flares and improve the patient’s quality of life.
About Redness and rosacea
There are several reasons why redness or rosacea develop, including:
- Genetics – a strong family history can predispose someone to rosacea or broken capillaries
- Weakened capillaries – blood vessels close to the skin’s surface can dilate and become permanently visible
- Triggers – such as sun exposure, alcohol, spicy food, physical trauma to the skin, stress, and temperature extremes
- Inflammation & sensitivity – when the skin barrier is compromised, it becomes more reactive, leading to redness and irritation
- Underlying conditions – rosacea is a chronic inflammatory skin condition that often requires ongoing management
We take a personalised approach to treating redness, rosacea, and capillaries, offering safe, medically proven solutions:
- Digital Skin Analysis – a great starting point where we can take a detailed look beneath the skin, revealing what the naked eye cannot – this helps us better tailor your treatment plan.
- BBL (Broad Band Light) Laser – targets dilated blood vessels, reducing redness and flushing while strengthening the skin over time.
- LED Light Therapy – uses specific wavelengths of light to calm inflammation, reduce redness, and support overall skin health.
- Medical-Grade Skin Care – including calming and barrier-strengthening formulations from SkinCeuticals.
Every patient’s skin is unique, so we design tailored plans that prioritise safety, comfort, and long-term results.

how we can help
Our philosophy is to provide ethical, research-supported care that puts your skin health first. Redness and rosacea affect everyone differently, and there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach. That’s why we always recommend booking a consultation and digital skin analysis before purchasing skincare or treatments. This allows our medical team to assess your skin type, triggers, and needs, so we can create a safe, personalised plan that helps you achieve calm, clear and healthy-looking skin.
