About Wrinkle & Volumising Treatments
What prep do I need to do for my wrinkle and volumising treatment?
- Arrive with a clean make-up free face
- If you are taking any herbal supplements such as Fish oil, Turmeric, St Johns Wart etc, you are taking voluntarily we advise you stop taking 5 to 7 days before to avoid bruising
- Avoid taking Aspirin or Nurofen if possible, Paracetemol is preferable
- Avoid intense exercise just prior to your appointment
- Don’t schedule any waxing, massage or dental work in the next week
What happens at a wrinkle treatment?
- Your comprehensive consultation of your medical history and explanation of treatment and outcomes
- Your treatment will usually be performed on the day, in some circumstances your practitioner may recommend your treatment be performed over multiple sessions
- The treatments are varied and will depend upon your treatment goals
What are the results I can expect from a treatment?
Results and aftercare will be determined on which procedure is performed. Your practitioner will give you detailed information at your appointment.
What do I do after the treatment?
Generally, the below will apply to most treatments:
- No excessive exercise for 24 hours
- Try to avoid touching or rubbing the area for 24 hours
- No sauna, spa or direct heat for 24 hours
Depending upon the treatment provided, results may be immediate or may take up to 14 days to take effect.
Who is wrinkle and volumising treatments not suitable for?
- Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Anyone who suffers from Myasthenia Gravis, ALS, Lambert- Eaton Syndrome
- Anyone with an allergy of cows milk protein
- Anyone with sinus or any other infection
- Anyone taking Amino Glycosides (Gentamicin, Soframycin, Tobramycin)

How much does a consultation cost?
A New Patient Consultation is free. If you’d like a full Skin Consultation & Digital Skin Image Analysis, that’s $79, redeemable against product or future treatment.
Why isn't pricing listed for wrinkle & volumising treatments?
Since 2024, TGA regulation means we can’t advertise pricing or before and after photos for these treatments online. What we can do is talk you through your options and costs in person, in a consultation with Dr Kippen himself.
What happens at my consultation?
Dr Kippen, a Specialist Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon, is onsite for every consultation, so you’re assessed and advised in person rather than by a remote prescriber. Together you’ll build a plan tailored to your goals and budget.
Why you won’t see all treatments listed or before and after photographs?
You may notice that we don’t list every medical aesthetic treatment we offer on our website. This is because Australian advertising regulations for health services (set by the Therapeutic Goods Administration and AHPRA) restrict the promotion of certain treatments.
